Does the Contact Section on your Website Frustrate Your Customers?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Have you ever visited a website, wanted to reach out and contact someone from the business or organization, only to find you can’t even send a message? There are many reasons why businesses today don’t leave an immediate way to contact them, one of them being short on staff, but it’s a sure way to frustrate a visitor to your site. The last thing you want to have happen is to have someone move on from your site, to a competitor who does provide a quick way to get in touch.

The Bare Minimum

Believe it or not, there are some business websites that do not offer any way to contact them. While this may be intentional, it can leave a visitor to the site puzzled. Ideally a site should at least feature some way to get in touch, whether it be via a form, a telephone number, generic email address or at least a mailing address. Many companies are now employing the use of online “chatbots” who can quickly and easily address what a visitor to the site needs.

Tell Your Story Using Social Media Icons

The Contact section of your website is the ideal place to feature your social media icons. These links can quickly take a reader to the other platforms where they can view more of your story, your products and what makes your company unique. What’s important is to identify which ones will resonate with your particular customers more. At a minimum, it’s helpful to at least include some graphics which can lead to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X.
