Doing Our Part to Clean Up Brookhaven

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Every year, the Town of Brookhaven takes part in the Great American Cleanup, which is the country’s largest organized cleanup, beautification, and community improvement program. The Great Brookhaven Cleanup took place on Saturday, May 18th, and the weather was absolutely perfect for getting our hands dirty! Electric Bricks owner, Keith Paul, along with members of the Chamber of Commerce of the Mastics & Shirley, the Salvation Army, BRNSC (a local business networking group), and other local volunteers, converged on the busy intersection of Montauk Highway and William Floyd Parkway to pick up trash and do their part to help beautify our community. The group collected 8 bags of garbage and made a visible impact on the appearance of the southwest corner of the intersection.
