Seventeen Feet of Holiday Cheer

Reading Time: < 1 minute

At this time of year, it’s important to remember that it’s not all about business and websites (well, not entirely, anyway). Keith Paul, owner of Electric Bricks, belongs to several Chambers of Commence on Long Island and currently sits on the Board of Directors of two – Moriches and Mastic-Shirley. And as anyone who’s on a Chamber can tell you, membership is not just about business, it’s also about giving back to the community.

Working Together to Make It Better

Keith had the opportunity to get involved in decorating the busy intersection of Wm. Floyd Parkway and Montauk Highway with some great new holiday warmth. This year, the Chamber of Commerce of the Mastics & Shirley was able to buy a 9-foot menorah and a Christmas tree that stands a full 17 feet tall with the huge star on top. Both of these were placed on the south-east corner of the intersection on either side of the statue of William Floyd.

Working closely with members of the Mastic Fire Department – without whom the entire project would not have been possible – Keith helped to purchase the large outdoor decorations and coordinate installing them in time for the annual Christmas Parade sponsored by the Chamber. Together with a small team of local residents, and Chamber and Fire Department volunteers, the beautiful Christmas tree and menorah when up quickly and now help to make the holidays just a bit brighter for all.
